Words that open doors.

Admissions committees, professors, and scholarship panels read thousands of pages a year. The ones they remember aren’t just the most accomplished—they’re the most honestly and strategically told.

We help students find that voice. So they jump off the page every time.

Our Premise

Everyone has a story. But knowing your story and telling it are two very different things. We work with students at every stage—from college applications and graduate programs to the paper that’s due on Friday—to uncover what’s genuinely yours and put it on the page with clarity, confidence, and craft.

Every engagement begins with the same question: What is the single most true and compelling story you could tell about yourself, and are you telling it?

It's the one question that AI can’t answer for you.

Our Services

  • Many students will sit down to write about themselves and freeze—not because they have nothing to say, but because they have trouble weaving a story that connects the momentous beats in their life.

Through deep conversation, we identify the experiences and convictions that form a true narrative—then build your entire strategy around it.

This is where the real work begins.

  • It's easy to write about what you think. The best essays reveal why you think it.

We work with you from first draft through final line, sharpening voice, deepening argument, and eliminating every word that doesn't earn its place—and building the skills to do it yourself long after we're done.

  • You've done the work—collected the experiences, earned the moments, built a life worth writing about. Now comes the harder part: shaping it into a narrative with a through line, an arc, and a voice compelling enough to make someone stop and pay attention.

That's exactly what we do. The result is writing that opens doors.

  • Strong academic writing isn't about sounding smart. It's about making a clear argument and defending it well.

We help you work through thesis development, structure, and revision—so your ideas have the rigor and precision they deserve.

Our Process

A four-stage system designed to surface what’s true, shape what matters, and submit writing that jumps off the page.

A complimentary 30-minute introductory call to understand your ambitions, timeline, and where you’d like most support.

Step 1: Discovery

We go deep before we go wide. Through focused dialogue, we identify your narrative and build outward from there.

Step 2: Story Excavation

Iterative writing sessions and rigorous editorial feedback—until every word is equal parts compelling and real.

Step 3: Draft & Refine

You submit with full confidence: a cohesive, engaging final result that sounds authentically like you.

Step 4: Submit

Who We Are

Off the Page was founded by Nina Chadha, a working editorial leader, who has spent 14+ years at the highest levels of brand storytelling at household consumer brands, including SOREL, TOMS, Jaanuu, Vegamour, LATHER, and more. The same craft that shapes campaigns for global consumer brands is what we bring to your story—to your brand.

We work with a deliberately small number of students each year (and application cycle). Not because we have to, but because this work demands it. Every engagement is deep, personal, and unhurried.

Because good stories take time to find. And the best stories take time to write.

Let’s Get to Work

Together, we’ll find your story.

By design, we take on a limited number of students each cycle. If you're serious about your commitment, reach out early. The best work happens when there's time to do it right.
